Blackberry has invaded watercourses, roadways ,pastures, orchards and bush throughout Australia. It provides good harbour for feral animals if not controlled. It has the ability to reduce pasture production and restrict access to water .The plant comprises cane like stems covered in prickles. Canes can grow up to 7 metres high. Blackberry has a very popular distinctive fruit which sometimes means people are reluctant to control it
