
Harrisia Cactus
Harrisia Cactus is a succulent plant with joint branches that form tangled mats reaching up to 0.5 metres in height. Branches are fleshy and have longitudinal ribs with triangular humps at regular intervals. Spines grow to 3cm in length and are very sharp. Its flowers are mostly white, sometimes tinged with pink and are generally open at night. The plant can begin to produce fruit at 6 months. Fruit can be produced all year round and when ripe are bright red with spiny protruberances.
